Support for Parents and Carers of Neurodivergent Children

You love your child deeply, but caring for a neurodivergent child can bring unique challenges. The demands of appointments, advocacy, planning, emotional support and daily caregiving can leave little space for your own wellbeing.

Over time, many parents and carers find themselves feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, burned out or disconnected from their own needs while focusing on the needs of others.

You may be  experiencing:

  • Stress and overwhelm
  • Burnout and exhaustion
  • Guilt for needing a break
  • Anxiety about the future
  • Relationship strain
  • Feeling isolated or unsupported
  • Difficulty in finding time for yourself

A Space for you

Therapy offers a space where your needs can take centre stage.

Together, we can explore difficult emotions, make sense of what you're experiencing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical ways of supporting your wellbeing.

There is no expectation to have all the answers or to cope perfectly. Therapy can provide a supportive, non-judgemental space to pause, reflect and reconnect with yourself.

Why this works for me

Alongside my psychotherapy training, I have a background in Special Education and spent many years working with children and young people with additional needs and their families.

This experience has given me an understanding of some of the unique pressures parents and carers can face. My aim is not to focus on changing your child, but to support your wellbeing as the person carrying so much responsibility.

Therapy offers a space where your experiences, emotions and needs matter too.

Taking the next step

If this feels familiar, I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have and explore whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you've spent so much time focusing on everyone else's needs. The consultation is simply a chance to talk, with no pressure or obligation.

You don't have to carry everything alone.
